Weekend Travel

After a long time started back traveling. This time we had been to Delhi on Sunday. We decided at the last moment and went to India Gate, Parliament, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Red Fort.

India Gate
The 42m high free standing arch was designed by Lutyens and built in 1931. It is the war memorial for the soldiers who died during the World War I. Since it was a fog day we could only spend around 10 to 20 mins there.

Parliament
We could only see the high pillars from the car due to high security. We were not allowed to park the car also anywhere near by.

Rashtrapati Bhavan
Here also we were able to see only from the road. But still that was a wonderfull experience. The building and the gates are really magnificent

Red Fort
The building that was recently vacated by the Army and given fully to the India Tourism. The ancient building was built by Shahjahan. This is the place from where he ruled his vast empire. The splendid architectural monument by the Mughals.
