Yadgirigutta

This Sunday I had been to a place called Yadgirigutta, which is around 63Km from Hyderabad. As the climate was very good, I thought driving the bike would be a great idea, and so told my friend that we will drive to that place. The drive was very pleasant, as we were cruising at the speed of 100km/hr. This was a real test for my bike, as we were testing it ability for braking, and with 2 of us sitting the bike was real stable. We were able to cover the distance in 1hr 15mins.

The temple is on a small hill which will not be more than 1km. The deity inside the temple is Narshima one of the avatars of Lord Vishnu. The deity was carved out of the rocks and above that the temple is built. As there was not much crowd we had a good darshan of god. We started after 30mins and the return journey was covered by friend who made it in 1hr. It was a short and a quick journey which cherished a lot.

After a long time I think my pain and risk has paid off. This photo was taken at a place called Bluff, 120Km from Bangalore. I was happy that it has come out very well, the way I dreamt about this.

Mekadutta

The above image shows the path of Cauvery. The title stands for Meka=Goat, Dutta=Jumped between rocks. There is a story behind this place saying as a goat jumped from one rock to the other to escape from a tiger.

Also this place is claimed as the shooting spot of Roja film.

It is good to see that the Indian Sensex has touched the 7000 mark. I wish the bull rides faster and touches the magic figure of 10000.

2 Idlies Rs.42/-

Yesterday was a day which I can never forget, where I paid Rs. 42/-(app $1) for a set of Idly(a type of South Indian dish) 3 small vada and a cup of Sprite. Normally I take my dinner outside, yesterday I saw a new hotel near my house and wanted to taste it. The name of the hotel was Dosa Plaza and they claim that they are specialized in Dosas' and Idlies. After I got the bill I was shocked to see the cost was Rs. 42/- and later when I checked the prices for the Dosas, the starting price for a plain dosa is Rs. 39/-. I spend around Rs. 20/- for the same and a stomach filling food.

Love

Below was a forwarded email - Thanks to my cousin.

The passengers on the bus watched sympathetically as the attractive young woman with the white cane made her way carefully up the steps. She paid the driver and, using her hands to feel the location of the seats, walked down the aisle and found the seat he'd told her was empty. Then she's settled in, placed her briefcase on her lap and rested her cane against her leg. It had been a year since Susan became blind. Due to a medical misdiagnosis she had been rendered sightless, and she was suddenly thrown into a world of darkness, anger, frustration and self-pity. 'How could this have happened to me?' she would plead, her heart knotted with anger. But no matter how much she cried or ranted or prayed, she knew the painful truth, her sight was never going to return. A cloud of depression hung over Susan's once optimistic spirit. All she had to cling to was her husband Mark.

Mark was an Air Force officer and he loved Susan with all his heart. When she first lost her sight, he watched her sink into despair and was determined to help his wife gain the strength she needed to become independent again.

Finally, Susan felt ready to return to her job, but how would she get there? She used to take the bus, but was now too frightened to get around the city by herself. Mark volunteered to drive her to work each day, even though they worked at opposite ends of the city. At first, this comforted Susan and fulfilled Mark's need to protect his sightless wife who was so insecure about performing the slightest task. Soon, however Mark realized that this arrangement wasn't working - it was hectic, and costly. Susan is going to have to start taking the bus again, he admitted to himself. But just the thought of mentioning it to her made him cringe.

She was still so fragile, so angry. How would she react? Just as Mark predicted, Susan was horrified at the idea of taking the bus again. "I'm blind!" she responded bitterly. "How am I supposed to know where I'm going? I feel like you're abandoning me." Mark's heart broke but he knew what had to be done. He promised Susan that each day he would ride the bus with her until she got the hang of it.

And that is exactly what happened. For two solid weeks, Mark, military uniform and all, accompanied Susan to and from work each day. He taught her how to rely on her other senses to determine where she was and how to adapt to her new environment. He helped her befriend the bus drivers who could watch out for her, and save her a seat. Each morning they made the journey together, and Mark would take a cab back to his office.

Although this routine was even more costly and exhausting than the previous one, Mark knew it was only a matter of time before Susan would be able to ride the bus on her own. Finally, Susan decided that she was ready to try the trip on her own. Monday morning arrived, and before she left, she threw her arms around Mark, her temporary bus riding companion, her husband, and her best friend. Her eyes filled with tears of gratitude for his loyalty, his patience, his love. She said good-bye, and for the first time, they went their separate ways. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.... Each day on her own went perfectly, and Susan had never felt better.

On Friday morning, Susan took the bus to work as usual. As she was paying for her fare to exit the bus, the driver said, "Boy, I sure envy you." Susan wasn't sure if the driver was speaking to her or not. After all, who on earth would ever envy a blind woman who had struggled just to find the courage to live for the past year? "Why do you envy me?" The driver responded, "It must feel so good to be taken care of and protected like you are." Susan had no idea what the driver was talking about, "What do you mean?" The driver said, "You know, every morning for the past week, a fine looking gentleman in a military uniform has been standing across the corner watching you when you get off the bus. He makes sure you cross the street safely and he watches you until you enter your office building. Then he blows you a kiss, gives you a little salute and walks away. You are one lucky lady."

Tears of happiness poured down Susan's cheeks. For although she couldn't see him, she had always felt Mark's presence. She was blessed, so blessed, for he had given her a gift more powerful than sight, a gift she didn't need to see to believe - the gift of love that can bring light where there had been darkness. "You don't love a woman because she is beautiful, she is beautiful because you love her..."

If you judge people, you have no time to love them. -- Mother Teresa

Thirst

RAM

After a long time I watched this film RAM, overall I liked the film, but I think there was something missing for the film to become a box office hit. And I doubt people would like these types of films.

Racism

This is a forwarded email.

Scene took place on a British Airways flight between Johannesburg
and London. White woman, about 50 years old, was seated next to a
black man. Obviously disturbed by this, she called the air Hostess.
"Madam, what is the matter," the hostess asked. "You obviously do not
see it then?" she responded. "You placed me next to a black man. I do
not agree to sit next to someone from such a repugnant group. Give me
an alternative seat." "Be calm please," the hostess replied. "Almost
all the places on this flight are taken. I will go to see if another
place is available." The Hostess went away and then came back a few
minutes later. "Madam, Just as I thought, there are no other
available seats in the economy class. I spoke to the captain and he
informed me that there is also a seat in the business class. All the
same, we still have one place in the first class." Before the woman
could say anything, the hostess continued: "It is not Usual for our
company to permit someone from the economy class to sit in the first
class. However, given the circumstances, the captain feels that it
would be scandalous to make someone sit next to someone so
disgusting." She turned to the black guy, and said, "Therefore, Sir,
if you would like to, please collect your hand luggage, a seat awaits
you in first class." At that moment, the other passengers who were
shocked by what they had just witnessed stood up and applauded.

In my company we have different committee and this time I stood for SSC(Social Service Committee) but I lost it, to tell the truth I think even I lost the deposit, I was able to get only 35 people out of 250 to vote for me. This was a good experience, and I am planning to stand for the next one which will be on July, by which I think I can show my presence. Lets hope for the best.

Remix

Today while watching [V] channel I was shocked to hear a tamil song from Thaver Magan. They have remixed it with a fast beat, but the song is still slow. The dance and the song did not match and was disgusting. The people who did the remix could have selected a different song for it.
